Pink Bus Service to starts it’s operations on 2 new routes in Karachi

Karachi: The Transport Department government of Sindh has anounced the launch People’s Pink bus service on two new routes of Karachi from March 1.

The fleet of pink buses on existing Model Colony – Tower Route will also be increased from Wednesday.

This announcement was made in a meeting chaired by Minister for Information Transport and Mass Transit sharjeel Inam Memon regarding People’s Bus Service. Secretary Transport Abdul Haleem Sheikh, Managing Director Sindh Mass Transit Authority Zubair Chana, Project Dirextor NRTC Sohaib Shafiq, Operations Manager Abdul Shakoor and others attended the meeting.

Talking in meeting, the Provincial Minister for Information, Transport and Mass Transit Sharjeel Inam Memon said that two new routes of pink bus service between power Chowrangi and Indus Hospital and Numaish Chowrangi to Sea View will be started from 1st March. While more buses would be inducted in the fleet of existing route of Model Colony -Tower, he added.

The provincial minister said that Pink Bus Service Route -2 starts from Power Chowrangi North Karachi via Nagan Chowrangi, Shafiq Mor, Gulshan Chowrangi, Johar Mor, COD, Drig Road, Sharah -e- Faisal , Shah Faisal Colony, Singer Chowrangi, Korangi No. 5 and terminates at Indus hospital.He added that Pink Bus Service will also start it’s operations on Route No. 10, which covers Numaish Chowrangi, MA Jinnah Road, Zeb-u-Nisa Street, Metropole, Teen Talwar, Do Talwar, Abdullah Shah Ghazi, Dolman Mall, McDonald and Clock Tower Sea.Sharjeel Inam Memon directed Sindh Mass Transit Authority and NRTC to complete the survey on more new routes of People’s Bus Service in Karachi.

He said that operations of the People’s Bus Service up to Hawks Bay Road should also be examined. The minister also directed to start more new routes of People’s Electric Bus Service in karachi as soon as possible.
