PM Shehbaz appoints five more special assistants

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has appointed five more special assistants (SAPMs) taking the number of cabinet members to 83, on Wednesday.

All the five special assistants to prime minister will enjoy the status of minister of state. New SAPMs have not been assigned any portfolio. They will work on honourary basis without getting any salary. The actual number of SAPMs included in the federal cabinet has now swelled to 38.

Those who have been appointed as SAPMs include Member National Assembly Rao Ajmal, Shaista Pervaiz, Qaisar Ahmad Sheikh, Muhammad Hamid Hameed and Malik Sohail Khan.

Now, federal cabinet comprises 34 federal ministers, 7 ministers of state and 4 advisors.
