ISLAMABAD: While addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of Bhara Kahu Bypass Project, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed the authorities concerned to complete the project within three months in any case whatsoever.

The prime minister said that such projects used to have achieved their completion within two months, adding that the bypass project would be completed with Rs5-6 billion.

“With the completion of the project, people will be relieved from the agony of hours long traffic jams,” the prime minister said.

“The public welfare projects of Rawalpindi and Islamabad had been a victim of delay for four years. The coalition government completed all such projects after coming into power,” he added.

While addressing the ceremony, the prime minister also came down hard on the previous government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

“The previous government was not concerned with the sufferings of the people. Imran Khan has given nothing but lies to the nation,” he deplored.

“Imran Niazi has found a way to misguide people. I have never seen such an irresponsible person and liar in my life. This person is a lie from head to toe. He lies to the people day and night,” he castigated.

Earlier, the prime minister laid the foundation stone of Bhara Kahu Bypass Project.

The 5.4km project was earlier planned to be completed within four months.

It will be a three-lane road on both sides that will help avoid traffic mess.

Also, the construction of a 1,350-meter long overhead bridge will be part of the project.
