President for utilization of IT tools for FIO’s service delivery

ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi Wednesday underscored the need for use of latest information technology tools including online complaints registration in the service delivery of the Federal Insurance Ombudsman (FIO).

He said the Federal Insurance Ombudsman (FIO) had a very important role towards the protection of customers of Insurance Industry from losses.

The President was talking to Federal Insurance Ombudsman (FIO), Muhammad Raeesuddin Paracha, who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, to give a detailed presentation about his office, a press release said.

The President emphasized that timely implementation of FIO’s findings by concerned agencies was of utmost importance for satisfaction of complainants.

He inquired about the progress on consultation with other Federal Ombudsmen for the establishment of Federal Ombudsman Complex at Karachi to house all their offices at one place.

He also underlined that extensive media campaign should be launched to create awareness about the institution for cost free and quick relief.

The President assured his full support in the discharge of official responsibilities and resolution of all the issues being faced by the Federal Insurance Ombudsman.
