PTI Chief Imran warns of ‘same reaction’ if he is arrested again

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: PTI Chairman Imran Khan has said that he is afraid that he might be arrested again, warning the reaction would be same if he is detained again.

“I am tell you people, if I was arrested against then the reaction would be same and I don’t want repeat of that situation,” he warned.

During an informal talk with media persons in the courtroom on Friday, Imran Khan expressed fear that he might be arrested again.

When a journalist asked Imran about a deal, the PTI chairman smiled and said that he is afraid that he will be arrested again as soon as he leaves the Islamabad High Court.

Imran said that he was allowed to talk to Bushra Bibi on the phone, with the permission of the court but he could not talk with her.

Reacting to the abrupt adjournment of court proceedings, Imran Khan said “a planted man” has ruined the hearing.

The advocate general who was also present on the occasion was quick to object to Imran Khan’s suggestion, asking him who you could say that this was a planted man.

Imran Khan in reaction offered an apology to advocate general, saying he withdraws his words.

The PTI chief also told the media that during detention he was hit on the head. However, he said that the NAB officers treated him well during detention.

To a question, he said during the Judicial Complex incident the ISI was in complete control of the vicinity. “Had I gone inside the Complex I would have been killed. It was a second assassination attempt on him,” he added.

Yesterday, after the apex court decision to release him, Imran Khan had expressed his concern about the arrests of the central leadership of PTI while talking to lawyers and colleagues in the Supreme Court.

Reportedly, Imran was shocked when informed about Asad Umar’s arrest. He said that Asad was also arrested, but when?

He was further shocked to hear about the arrest of Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Fawad Chaudhary. He asked his colleagues why they did not tell him, otherwise he would have spoken in front of the court.

When Imran was asked, would he condemn the raid on the house of Corps Commander Lahore, he replied that what could he say when he did not know anything.

To a question that would he talk to his political opponents as the chief justice had advised him, he said ‘when they do not talk about the constitution, what negotiations can be held with them?’

Imran said that we want elections and they are running away from elections. The constitution says that elections should be held within 90 days. Restore the constitution and then we will see, he added.

When Imran was asked whether he met anyone during detention. Imran smiled and said, ‘I have not met anyone, yes, I have met Khawaja Haris. Khawaja Haris gave strong arguments in the NAB court’.
