Punjab CM assures Sikh pilgrims of resolving visas, other issues

LAHORE : A 39-member delegation of Sikh pilgrims visiting Baba Guru Nanak’s birthday celebrations met with Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Sunday.

During the meeting, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi noted down the suggestions and recommendations of the Sikh pilgrims and assured them of their redressal.

On the instructions of Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Provincial Minister Auqaf Azfar Nasir and Additional Chief Secretary will go to Nankana Sahib for the birthday celebrations.

Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi and IG Punjab talk to Sikh pilgrims in pure Punjabi language and welcomed them in Punjabi. He will solve the visa issue and other problems facing the Sikh pilgrims as soon as possible, Mohsin Naqvi assured them.

Mohsin Naqvi said that we welcome the elders Sikh pilgrims come to Lahore, but the youth should come to Lahore as well.

In Gujranwala, the old Gurdwara and ancient mansions will be constructed and restored, said Mohsin Naqvi. Not tourism, Sikh brothers are called here with love, Mohsin Naqvi said.

Pakistani jaggery is healthy and delicious and such Pakistani goods can be sold a lot in Canada, a Sikh pilgrim Gyan Singh Gill suggested.

This is the best opportunity for Pakistan to increase business in Canada, Gyan Singh Gill advised. The people from Lahore and Amritsar live together in Canada, Gyan Singh Gill said.

Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi invited them in his office which is owner for us and we are thankful to him for a cup of tea, they said.

Provincial Ministers Aamir Mir, Azfar Ali Nasir, Additional Chief Secretary, Inspector General of Police, Secretary Human Rights, Secretary Tourism, Chairman PITBO and other relevant officials were also present on the occasion.

CM Naqvi fumed over delay in completion of road projects

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has sought an answer from the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) on the delay in the timely completion of Bedian underpass sideroads during his visit to Bedian and Cavalry underpasses on Sunday morning.

On the occasion, Chief Minister Naqvi expressed anger over the delay in the completion of the sideroads of Bedian underpass and asked the concerned authority that November 25 deadline has been fixed for the completion of sideroads, why is the work not completed?

Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi also visited Cavalry Underpass.

Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi reviewed the construction quality of Center Point Gulberg to Defense Mor underpass during his visit.

Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi also inspected side roads and drainage system around Cavalry underpass.

Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi directed Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) to remove soil from sideroads.

Provincial Ministers Aamir Mir, Azfar Ali Nasir, DG LDA, Chief Engineer LDA, Deputy Commissioner and other officials were also present on the occasion.

CM orders to speed up driving licence making process

LAHORE : Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi visited police service centers (Khidmat Markaz) of Liberty and Garden Town late at night and inspected the procedure of driving licence issuance system.

During the visit of Chief Minister, Inspector General of Police Dr. Usman Anwar was also present.

The CM found that the Internet of the Token Machine of the Police Service Center of Garden Town is broken and citizens are facing difficulties in getting tokens.

CM Naqvi met the citizens present at the two service centers and asked questions regarding getting a driving licence while the citizens complained about the delay in the process for getting the driving licences.

Chief Minister Naqvi directed to speed up the process of making driving licences.

He gave instructions to the IG police in this regard and directed to fix token machine’s internet at Garden Town Service Center sooner.

The Chief Minister instructed that there should be no delay in making the driving licence.

CM Naqvi also inspected the driving licence manufacturing vans and met the citizens.

12% reduction in crimes recorded during 6 months of Punjab caretaker govt

Over 12 percent reduction in crimes has been recorded in 6 months due to effective policing by the caretaker Punjab government.

As per the crime calls statistics of Lahore, a decrease in the incidents of robbery, theft and larceny in Lahore was recorded during 6 months.

Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that the trend of reduction in crime is admirable, but it has to be further reduced.
