Senior Minister announces establishment of sports grounds

PESHAWAR: Provincial Minister for Tourism, Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs, Muhammad Atif Khan on Thursday announced the provincial government would establish sports complexes in newly-merged tribal districts. Senior Minster has also directed the authority concerned to start work on sports complexes and complete it in short term.

This he said this while chairing a high level meeting attended by Secretary Sports Shahid Zamman, Addition Secretary Sports Baber Khan, Director General Sports Junaid Khan and Sports Director for Tribal districts Nawaz Khan. “Sports Grounds will be established in Nawagai, tehsil of Bajaur, in Razmak and Mirali tehsils of North Waziristan, Lower and Central Kurram and in Landi Kotal tehsil of Khyber district in which all types of facilities will be available” Atif Khan added. He also directed the sports authority to extend five years plan of establishing 1,000 grounds to tribal districts as well. Senior Minister further added that tribal districts is now the part of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and will be provided all types of sports facilities. He added that the people of tribal districts have the potentials to work for betterment and prosperity of the country.
