Seven killed, injured in Nangahar IED explosions

NANGARHAR: As many as seven people including militants and civilians were killed or injured in separate Improvised Explosive Devices explosions in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan.

The provincial government media office told Afghan media outlet that at least one civilian was killed and four others were injured in an explosion in Khogyani district.

The official added that the incident took place at around 9 am local time and the IED was planted in a cart.

Meanwhile, in the Shirzad district of Nanagarhar at least one Taliban insurgent was killed and one other was injured in a premature bomb explosion.

The source further added that the militants were busy planting roadside mine in Dando area when the incident took place, leaving a militant dead and one more wounded.

The anti-government armed militant and terrorist groups including Taliban insurgents have not commented regarding the report so far.
