Shahbaz, Nisar meetings continue to drag out Nawaz from crisis

Islamabad: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and Chief Minister Punjab Shehbaz Sharif held several meetings with disgruntled party leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan as political circle termed the Thursday meeting was very important.

The creditable sources have disclosed that despite of annoyance and anger former interior Minister Ch. Nisar Ali Khan was trying his best to pull the former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif from crisis with the close collaboration of Chief Minister Punjab.  Sources stated that Ch. Nisar Ali Khan has also held important meetings with top heads of country important institutions.

They stated that Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif came from Lahore on special plane specially holding meeting with Ch. Nisar Ali Khan. He held third meeting with Ch. Nisar at Punjab house.

According to sources, the two discussed various party issues, including a strategy for the upcoming general elections, ways to strengthen the party and matters of former Prime Minister Main Muhammad Nawaz Sharif. Sources stated that former interior minister took CM Punjab into confidence regarding his meetings with top heads of country important institutions special on the issue of Nawaz Sharif.

Moreover, a high level development would be happened in the country in next few days as Ch. Nisar and Shahbaz Sharif would have an important role in it.

Routine contacts among both the leaders were continuing so that county would be protected from political instability. Sources further revealed that the main objective of these meetings was to provide little relief to Nawaz Sharif.

However, Ch. Nisar has viewed that he has not any intention to join PTI. Sources said that when Shahbaz Sharif asked him of meeting with Mian Nawaz Sharif.

Ch. Nisar replied; “If Nawaz Sharif has his own wish, I am ready to meet him”.

Moreover, according to sources, the two party leaders discussed in the two-hour-long meeting the recent defection of PML-N lawmakers from south Punjab.

It was worth mentioned here that the rift between Nisar, a veteran party leader from Rawalpindi, and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif has been brewing since July last year following Nawaz’s disqualification.
