RAWALPINDI (Online): Commissioner Rawalpindi Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry and Ex-Member National Assembly, Hanif Abbasi said initiating the project of Shehbaz Sharif Park at Rawal road worth of Rs 87.931 million is a commendable step which will provide the residents with standard entertainment facilities.
Addressing a meeting here Friday, they said the park will include facilities like gym, cricket ground, football ground, badminton, playground for children, parking area, public toilets, food points, horticultureand walking tracks.
They said that revised estimate has been submitted with an enhanced scope of work including increase size and mosaic flooring for pitches, change in quantity and specification of gym, change on pole designs for electrification of park and shifting of hydrants for sprinkler system. Flood lights, garden lights and horticulture work including plantation and gadgets & tools were also incorporated in it, they added.
Hanif Abbasi further shared that physical health is indispensable for mental health so Punjab government is vigilant to provide its people with upgraded parks and play grounds adding further that it allows them to utilize their energies in constructive way.
Director Development Noureen Bashir, Director General PHA Captain® Anwar, ADC (G) Maliha Jamal, CO Municipal Corporation Khalid Javed Goraya and officials of other concerned departments were also present in the meeting.
