Shahbaz Sharif to unveil Orange Line Metro Train today

LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab, Shahbaz Sharif will formally inaugurate the Orange Line Metro Project in Lahore on Sunday (today).

CM Shahbaz Sharif will also address the ceremony on the occasion as the first train arrived in the country from China but before the official ceremony CM Shahbaz unveiled the detail of the mega transport schemes in the provincial capital.

Shahbaz Sharif said that the project is not only the transport project but it also meant to make the underprivileged to feel that they have equal rights on the state resources and the projects is aims to start to create equality.

All the arrangements were finalized for the event. As per the officials the 27 trains are likely to cover the distance as per the route built up. The officials informed that media that a single train has the capacity to carry 1,000 people.

The project has also been included in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor; it was decided in the Economic Coordination Committee meeting held in January.
