Shazia Marri slams PTI gov’t for Cutting Gas Supply to the Industries

KARACHI: On Monday Central Information Secretary Pakistan People’s Party Parliamentarian & MNA, Shazia Atta Marri grilled the incumbent Prime Minister and calling him “undemocratic” she also accuse him for not willing to hold general elections in Pakistan after five year term.

While addressing a addressing a press conference at Karachi Press club, Marri also slammed Prime Minister Imran Khan for thinking in dictatorial manner. She also strongly condemned Prime Minister Imran Khan’s statement and saying it is against the democracy and the democratic institutions. 

While commenting on the new gas supply policy of the federal government she remarked that the federal government has announced that the gas supply to all the industries that run on the Captive Power Plant will be cut off. She was of the view that this decision of federal government will handicap countries industrial sector and economy.

Moreover, Shazia Marri expressed her views saying that the PTI-led government stands on four votes and should stay humble with allies and independent representatives.

Calling the government weak & arrogant, Marri added that the federal government has never shown by its attitude that stands on four votes.

Highlighting the gas supply issues she stated that the PTI-led government in which neither the poor are getting employment nor the stoves of the houses are burning and today and further the incompetent government is going to shut off gas supply to the industries.

 She said that the prices of oil have been increased by Rs. 9 in a month and PPP rejects increase in oil prices.

 Shazia Marri questioned the federal government saying, “Now they should tell us who is a thief and who is a robber and who is a looter.”

While addressing the press conference, Marri also underscored that the PTI-led government is following IMF directions and putting a heavy burden on the masses by increasing price hikes of common commodities and petroleum products.

She said, “This government is a slave government and is enslaving international institutions, but such decisions aren’t benefiting Pakistan and its people.”

While underlining the Coronavirus pendamic she expressed gratitude to  China saying that, she is very thankful to the Chinese government for donating 500,000 CoronaVirus vaccines to Pakistani people.

She added that the country’s population is 220 million and the number of CoronaVirus vaccines is merely 500,000 which is 0.22% of the total population and each patient of covid-19 will be given two doses of the vaccine.

“As per these calculations, the ratio of availability of COVID-19 vaccines will be 0.11% of the total population that is insufficient” she said.

She added, “Furthermore, the federal government is not taking serious steps for the availability and purchasing of vaccines.”

She also slammed Sindh Governor saying that the Governor Sindh can provide protocol to his dog and can keep them in their castles, but when they were in the opposition, they cursed the protocol. These are the looters, selected, incompetent and they must leave the government and to go their homes back, she said.

While shedding light over Pakistan’s foreign policies, she said that diplomatic ties are at stake and smooth bilateral relations were not established with neighboring counties, because of this incompetent government, Pakistan is left alone in the world due to their appalling policies.

She said incompetent government policies are being exposed day and night on media nowadays and poors are fading up from PTI-led government.

She said that even his own party’s people are angry with Imran Khan and a long ago; he had worsened ties with his allies.

Duirng her address, Shazia Marri said that, selectors of this government should step back now, we do not want the attitude of the Establishment to look the way it looks.

PPP believes in democracy and respects national institutions and wants to be respected, she emphasized.

Calling for respecting constitutional limits she said that, all national institutions should work within their own spheres and respect the constitutional limits.

Shazia Marri added that incompetent people have been imposed on poor masses and we  have no interest in calling the Prime Minister of the country “selected” but if the Prime Minister of the country is unaware of the plight of the Pakistani people, then we will speak against his incompetency, Marri added.

Furthermore, in her press conference Marri warned warned saying that the unskilled government should be gone home with dignity and respect, otherwise, If not, then all the parties of PDM will consult unanimously and to decide to launch moment against PTI government.

On the other hand, Faisal Karim Kundi expressed his views saying that the elected government has once again dropped “petrol bombs” on the people and has put people in trouble by increasing the prices of petrol.

Kundi commented that PPP highly condemned this shameful act and to demand withdrawal of price hiking of petroleum products so that masses would be given relief.
