LAHORE: Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said that time is slipping like sand through the palms of opposition coterie, asking them to ponder their decision of launching the long march on the Pakistan Resolution Day.

The minister who called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in Lahore on Monday warned that the government would not allow anyone to take law in his hands asking the opposition to once again ponder over its decision to hold long march on 23rd March.

“They must use their brains as the government will not permit anyone to play with the law and order situation,” he said adding that time was slipping out of the hands of the opposition.

The interior minister said that the government was taking all possible measures to provide security to the life and property of the people.

He said that the government was stronger than ever under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

He exchanged views on the law and order situation in Punjab with Chief Minister Buzdar. He also discussed the undergoing welfare schemes in Rawalpindi.

CM Buzdar said that his government did not believe in the politics of revenge. He called upon the politicians to adopt the culture of tolerance and harmony.
