KOHAT: The shopkeepers of Modern Shopping Center at Cantonment Board Kohat protested against 500% hike in rent while demanding reversal of the decision in larger interest of business community, on Sunday.
Protest against 500% increase in the protest demonstration, president of Anjuman Tajran Kohat Cantt: Malik Mansoor Khan Bangash, Chairman of All Kohat Traders Union, Ameer Khan Afridi, Malik Dilawar Khan Awan of Bannu Bazaar addressed the 500% increase in rents. He called the Cantonment Board’s cruel decision and described it as an economic murder of the shopkeepers.
According to the details, dozens of shopkeepers of Modern Shopping Center Kohat Cantt: in such a case, the increase in rents is like snatching food from the mouths of the shopkeepers’ children.
All possible relief should be given to the traders, otherwise legal action will not be avoided. To express solidarity with the strike camp, Member of National Assembly Shehryar Afridi and Member of Provincial Assembly Shafi Jan assured the authorities to give them relief.
