ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Firdous Shamim Naqvi and Haleem Adil on Sunday have said that the steps taken by Sindh government to combat coronavirus spread in the province are insufficient.
While addressing a press conference, the leaders of incumbent government appealed to avoid doing politics on coronavirus matter and requested the political parties to support the federal government.
Death toll in Sindh is being exaggerated, they alleged.
The leaders further said that only poverty-stricken people are being badly affected by the lockdown.
The reaction came day after Chief Minister of Sindh (CM) Murad Ali Shah held press conference and said that growing number of cases in Karachi’s densely populated areas of East and South are a cause of great concern.
He told that 477 people of the Tablighi Jamaat have been infected with the virus, while test results of 123 members are yet to come out.
Murad Ali Shah appealed to the federal government, saying that by giving interest-free loans to traders, the problems of small businessmen would be solved.
