Sino-Afghan relations’ 65th anniversary celebrated

KABUL: The 65th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and the People’s Republic of China attended by the Senior Officials of the two countries and Ambassadors from friendly countries to Kabul was celebrated.

The ministry on this occasion hosted two events; an academic seminar on Afghanistan-China relations and a dinner reception.

Two of the Chinese scholars presented in the said seminar their articles on Afghanistan and China and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Center for Strategic Studies, Kabul University, and Afghan and Chinese researchers also presented their articles.

The second event ended with dinner reception attended by senior officials of the two countries and Ambassadors of the friendly countries to Kabul.

Deputy Minister Nab for Economic Cooperation and the Chinese Ambassador to Kabul had their remarks during the reception held in Storai Palace.

The Martial Arts performance of the Kung Fu team who came from China during the event added to the atmosphere of the event.

Afghanistan is one of the first countries to recognize in 1951 the new Chinese Government established in 1949 led by the country’s Communist Party.

Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on January 20, 1955.(TOLOnews)
