Snow hits hilly areas of country

PESHAWAR: With the change of weather, snow has hit several parts of the country including Upper Dir, on Wednesday.

People in Upper Dir have started collecting wood to burn in the cold.

As per the metrological report, wet showers and snow will continue for the next two days.

The intensity of cold has increased in the rural areas of Jaaz Banda Kumrat Thal Lamoti with the pouring down of rain and hailstorm. Whereas snow is also falling in the urban areas of Kalkot Khal Wari.

According to metrological office report, there is rain forecast with strong winds and thunderstorm in Islamabad.

The weather report says Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Islamabad, Upper and Central Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and North Balochistan will experience rain with strong winds and thunder while snow is likely in the hilly areas.

During this time, there may be hailstorm at some places.

The weather will remain dry in other districts of the country.

In Karachi, the intensity of cold will increase from Nov 11. The maximum temperature of the city will reach 32 °C and minimum will remain 19 C.

The humidity level will remain 88% and visibility in the morning was recorded 3km.

However, the weather in the last 24 hours was accompanied by strong winds and thundershowers in Balochistan, Lower Sindh, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Bagrot.

The weather remained dry in other parts of the country.

Minimum temperature recorded today: Leh minus 05, Kalam, Babusar minus 01, Astoor and Ziarat recorded 01 degree Celsius.

Lahore ranked third in most polluted cities’ list

Lahore remained on number three in the list of most polluted cities of the world with its air quality ratio recorded at 266.

The weather in the city is cloudy and there are chances of rain.

The minimum temperature in the city was recorded 20 degree Celsius.
