ISLAMABAD: Abu Bakr Talha, 11 years old, a student from grade 7 at the FG Public Middle School Mazhar Lines, Lahore Cantt participated in the Pakistan National Tennis Team U-12 and qualified for the International Tennis Federation, Islamabad.
Prior to his qualification in U-12, Talha won the national title for U-10, 15 times by honoring his country and school the pride and gratification.
He is also the only titular member to DeSom Tennis Club and has been awarded with the membership by Commander 4 Corps.
The journey does not just end here but during the Sahara Cancer Hospital fund raising auction, Talha’s racket was sold for PKR 85,000 which also tends to set a record for a player of an age 12. Talha has remained unbeatable throughout his trial matches and FGEIs Directorate hopes that he will be associating himself in the upcoming Junior Tennis Team.
