Tele-medicine project to provide health facility at doorsteps: Saira

HAFIZABAD: Tele-Medicine Project would go a long way in providing online video link facility for diagnosing different diseases at the doorsteps of patients in remote areas, Federal Minster for National Health Services, Regulations and Coordination Saira Afzal Tarar said here.

While launching the project at the DHQ Hospital here she said that the project with the collaboration of International organizations (Palladium, UK Aid and Hanif), which was attended among others by Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir, District Council Chairman Mian Afzal Hussain Tarar, Deputy Commissioner Saleha Saeed, Project Team Leader Dr. Fiaz Ahmad, Head of Corporate Operation Platinum Muhammad Waseem and Project Manager Hamza Salman.

She said that the diagnosation of different ailments on online video link would not only facilitate the patients in remote areas to get consultation by senior doctors and specialists but also to save their time and money.  She further said that shortage of doctors and paramedical staff has been overcome and all sorts of infrastructure facilities have been made available in all hospitals.
