Trump allegations termed attack on sovereignty

F.P. Report

MARDAN: Chief of Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (S) and Chairman of Defense Council of Pakistan Moulana Sami-ul-Haq has termed allegations and threats by the president of United States of America Mr. Donald Trump as attack over sovereignty of Pakistan.

Speaking to media-persons here on Wednesday after a meeting of provincial Majlis-i-Shura of his party at Tehfiz-ul-Quraan located on main Mardan-Swabi road. He hit out at the central government of Pakistan Muslim League-(Nawaz) for merely issuing condemnation statements in this connection.

He asked the rulers to not only review its policy and ties with America but to also send a harsh and rigid response to the president of United States over his allegations and threats against Pakistan. He stressed that the government of Pakistan should shun its logistic and intelligence support to America as well.

“It is time to say permanent ‘no more’ to US as we cannot destroy our country for sack of getting American aid,” he added. The JUI-S chief deplored that the rulers of Pakistan had misinterpreted meaning of Jehad and made it an abuse for the last two decades meant to please America. ”It is the ‘Jihad’ through which we had forced the British rulers of Sub-continent to flee the region and the Russian state had been collapsed in several pieces by it in the past,” he claimed. To a query regarding formation of Mutahida Majlis-i-Amal, he alleged that the alliance of MMA was dominated by two parties-Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazal and Jamaat-i-Islami like in the past when it was instituted at tenure of former president of Pakistan General Pervaz Musharaf.

When he was asked about his party alliance with Pakistan Tehreek-i-Isnaf Party, he told that they had not made any direct alliance with the PTI rather there would be seat-to-seat adjustment between the two parties in the up-coming general elections. He also pointed out that they had yet to devise a formula in this connection.
