PESHAWAR: A divisional comprising of Chief Justice Peshawar High Court Justice Qaiser Rashid and Justice Fazal Subhan ordered Secretary Food to appear before court on next hearing in case regarding provision and quality flour available in market, on Wednesday.
During hearing Additional Advocate General Malik Akhtar Hussain informed that flour is available at Rs11 hundred due to increase in petroleum prices, however Chief Justice remarked that wheat-brain is available in the name flour which did not suitable for eating while Additional Attorney General Amir Javeed informed that Punjab’s flour is available on Rs2 thousand per 20kg.
Moreover, Chief Justice Qaiser Rashid further remarked that adulterated flour is available in market which did not suitable for eating while added that from Rs13 hundred flour per bag reached to two thousand within five months.
The divisional bench further observed that competent authorities must informed court regarding handling the issued and ordered Secretary Food appear on next hearing before PHC.
