Zalmi Foundation donates medical gear to Afghan govt

PESHAWAR: Zalmi Foundation continues its fight against the deadly Corona Virus. 50,000 masks as well as medical gear was handed over to the Afghan government in order to help Pakistan’s neighboring country fight against the Virus. Peshawar Zalmi and Zalmi Foundation Chairman, Javed Afridi, said that Corona Pandemic has severely affected economies worldwide. Neighboring country Afghanistan suffers from the same fate as well.

Javed Afridi added that this is an effort by Zalmi Foundation to help people across the border who are going through a challenging time.

Zalmi Foundation has been active since the outbreak of Corona Virus and was able to distribute food supplies to the remote areas of Khyber Agency.

In addition, masks and virus protector suits were donated to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government for doctors and medical staff. Javed Afridi said that Pakistan Government & PM Imran Khan wants good relation with all neighboring countries including Afghanistan and wishes to unite world in the fight against common enemy Corona Virus.

Afghan Ambassador Atif Mashal said “I am very grateful to Zalmi Foundation for helping us in this difficult situation. We appreciate the work of Javed Afridi and Zalmi Foundation. Javed Afridi has always played an important role in bringing the people of both countries closer. I pray that Pakistan, Afghanistan as well as the whole world get rid of the corona virus soon”.
