Zhob Militia holds Quaid’s birthday celebration

ZHOB: The birth anniversary of the founder of Pakistan Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah celebrated in Zhob with national spirit and enthusiasm.

In this connection Zhob Militia organized a ‘cake cutting’ function at FC school here on Monday. Col. Nadeem Khan was the chief guest of the ceremony. DPO Sardar Mavarhan Leghari, Col. Shahid, Col. Ibrar, Major Muneeb, Major Tahir Mughal, Major Nasir, Commanding Officer CMH, Captain Hamad, Corp SM Waqif Shah, Principal FC School Education Officer Nasir Nazir, DHO Dr. Muzafar Shah, DEO Zhob Sheikh Musa Mandokhail, notables Sardar Nasir Khan Nasar, Sardar Ayoub Sherani, Malik Mir Adam Sherani, Fazal Qadir Mandokhail, Haji Lashkar Lawoon, Maghfirullah Kakar, Mufti Ajmal Mandokhail, Fazal Amin Mandokhail, parents and students in a large number were in attendance. Children presented national song, tableaus and speeches to highlight the day.

Addressing on the occasion, the chief guest Col. Nadeem Khan paid rich tribute to Quaid-i-Azam for his great services, he rendered for the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent. He highlighted various aspects of his vision and his guiding principles of unity, faith and discipline. Col. Nadeem also cut the Quaid’s birthday cake on the occasion.

Sardar Nasir Khan Nasar also spoke on the occasion and shed light on the life of Quaid. He said that Quaid was born on Dec 25, 1876 in Karachi.

He received early education in Karachi and then went to London for higher education. He got his law degree in 1896, returned home and began his legal career. Later, he struggled for a separate homeland for Muslims. He was also the first governor general of the country. His motto was Unity, Faith and Discipline. He died on September 11, 1948, just over a year after Pakistan gained independence. He added.
