11 more terrorists killed in operation

RAWALPINDI: Eleven terrorists have been sent to hell in two different operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

An intelligence based operation was conducted in Dera Ismail Khan District on reported presence of terrorists. During conduct of the operation, after an intense fire exchange, ten terrorists were successfully neutralised and sent to hell.

In another encounter in North Waziristan District, own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location as a result of which one more terrorist was sent to hell. The killed terrorists remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area against security forces as well as the innocent civilians. Arms & ammunition were also recovered from them. Locals of the area appreciated the operations by the Security Forces, who remain determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism from the country.

Meanwhile, two terrorists were killed in an operation by the security forces in Sanzala Pahari area of Pishin district in Balochistan, a top official said on Monday.

As per the statement given by Deputy Commissioner Pishin Jumma Dad Mandokhel, several terrorists were also wounded in the operation. He further said those killed and injured were wanted by the law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) in connection with the killing of a Levies Risaldar Hameedullah.

It is important to note that the incidents of terrorism are on the rise in the country for more than one year. Three weeks ago, a Levies official was killed and three other personnel of the Force were seriously injured after the militants opened fire at the security forces in Pishin district of Balochistan.
