AKF hands over 31 relief goods’ trucks to Afghan government

PESHAWAR: The Afghan government received 31 trucks of aid materials worth Rs. 45 million from the AlKhidmat Foundation Pakistan on Tuesday.
To hand over relief commodities to Afghan government authorities, a ceremony was organised at Torkham Gate at Zero Point on the Pak-Afghan border.
Muhammad Shakir Siddiqui, Provincial General Secretary of AlKhidmat Foundation Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Rizwan, President of AlKhidmat Foundation Punjab, Head of Afghan Refugee Ministry Muhammad Ali, Head of Afghan Eastern Zone Mian Hafeez-ud-Din Qamari, Afghan official Ghaziullah Hashmi, and other personalities and officials attended the event.
AlKhidmat Foundation’s Provincial General Secretary Muhammad Shakir Siddiqui, speaking to the media, said that Afghans have been seriously impacted by the current cold and snowfall in Afghanistan, and that Alkhidmat Foundation has given over 31 trucks of food products today.
He stated that the AlKhidmat Foundation had previously supplied 72 trucks of assistance commodities to Afghanistan, including medicines, sewing machines, food, warm clothing, and winter packages.
AlKhidmat Foundation has dispatched a total of 103 trucks of assistance materials worth more than Rs. 215 million to Afghanistan, according to Shakir Siddiqui.
On the occasion, Muhammad Rizwan, President of the AlKhidmat Foundation Punjab, informed the media that Afghanistan is a fraternal country of Pakistan, and that it is our moral and religious obligation to assist them. He said that the people of Pakistan stood by the Afghan people in this difficult time and this support would continue.
He further said that AlKhidmat Foundation will set up and functinalize Aghosh Alkhidmat Home in Kabul for the welfare of orphans before Ramadan and will soon set up a hospital in Kabul.
He said that AlKhidmat Foundation would sponsor heart surgery and treatment of 100 Afghan children in Lahore.
Talking to media, the Afghan officials said that the Afghan government and nationals are grateful to the AlKhidmat Foundation and the people of Pakistan for their support during this difficult time and hoped that the assistance would continue in the future as well.
In this terrible time, he continued, the people of Pakistan stood alongside the Afghan people and will continue to do so.
He also stated that the AlKhidmat Foundation will establish and operate the Aghosh Alkhidmat Home in Kabul for the care of orphans before Ramadan, and that a hospital will be established in Kabul soon.
He stated that the AlKhidmat Foundation would fund 100 Afghan children’s heart surgeries and treatments in Lahore.
Speaking to the media, Afghan officials expressed gratitude to the AlKhidmat Foundation and the people of Pakistan for their support during this difficult period, and expressed hope that the assistance would continue in the future.
They stated that Afghans require additional assistance in the health sector, among other sectors, in order to give better health care to Afghans.
They expressed their gratitude to Pakistan’s government and people for offering all possible help to the Afghan people for the past forty years, as well as for giving them a place in their hearts, and for the continuous cooperation, which they described as satisfying and encouraging.
