All relevant depts on high alert to deal with rain, flood situation

PESHAWAR (APP): Caretaker Minister of Information and Endowment Barrister Feroz Jamal Shah Kakakhel Sunday said that on the orders of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Azam Khan all the relevant department across the province are on high alert to deal with rain and flood situation in the province.
Talking to media men, Barrister Feroz Jamal Shah Kakakhel said that the Caretaker Chief Minister is personally monitoring the rescue and relief activities in the affected areas.
He expressed grief over the loss of life and property due to rains and floods in the province.
The caretaker provincial minister expressed his deep sorrow over the death of 3 people, including a woman, due to the collapse of a roof and wall in Mansehra district. Houses have been damaged in Chitral due to torrential rains and floods, Barrister Feroz Jamal Shah Kakakhel said.
He said, link roads are being restored with heavy machinery in Chitral Lower and the teams of district administration, PDMA, Rescue 1122 and civil defense department are engaged in relief activities in the affected areas.
Residents from sensitive areas have been shifted to safer places and the affected families are being provided with food items and dry goods while the provincial government will provide all possible assistance to the affected citizens, Barrister Feroz Jamal Shah Kakakhel said.
