Asad terms NYC edu expo biggest platform for youth

PESHAWAR: Speaker Provincial Assembly Asad Qaiser termed National Youth Carnival Education Expo as the biggest platform initiated by the youth ministry to enlighten students about different education opportunities including scholarship, internships and other education activities.

Addressing a gathering on the opening day of the National Youth Carnival Education Expo, Asad Qaiser said that it is the biggest Expo wherein more than 30 different educational consultants, a USA, Australia, Germany Education Closer, Fully-Funded Degree and Exchange Program, Free Education, Advising Service, British Council, DAAD of Germany, National Data Base Pakistan, Bol Education of Bol TV, and other National, International and Multi-National consultants put on display their stalls by provide a guide-line to all the participating students to build their carrier.

There was Discover Youth Purpose as the NYC is going side-by-side and all the organizing part of the Expo have been divided in three different sectors i.e corporate, social and education sector. The Expo would help students as for training, scholarships and bring employment opportunities for the students at the venue.

He said that the National Youth Carnival united the Youth of Pakistan at one platform and it would give a message of peace to the world from this part. He said the next NYC-2018 would be held at international level and SAARC countries youth would also be part of the Carnival, thus giving international platform to Pakistani Youth.

He said the first priority of the govt is our youth as militancy badly hit our province but now with the bravery of the people along with Pakistan Army normalcy has been restored. He also lauded the more than 17 Madras are currently part of the NYC in  different events and more than 50 percent of the female turned up from across Pakistan. He said the govt has successfully completed century of the construction of the new playing ground as desired by Imran Khan. He said for Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium Rs. 1.5 billion has been allocated for bringing it into new and international standard shape.

He said with the Expo youth constantly look for choices, options and opportunities in higher education, training, gainful employment and entrepreneurship. Due to limited places in state universities and other academic and vocational institutes, many students with good post-secondary grades, also look for overseas placements every year so such Expo would help them in this connection, Asad Qaiser said.

With a focus on career guidance program that includes free psychometric testing followed by personal counseling and several other enrichment and outreach programs the Expo, he said offers seamless and limitless end-to-end opportunities under one roof.

“Our objective is very clear, that we want to serve the community,” he said, adding, “The Expo is also an ideal platform for school-leavers, fresh graduates and job seekers to meet and discuss current issues pertaining to higher education and career opportunities in the market.” “Job seekers may get the chance to be hired on the spot at the expo,” he concluded.

Earlier, Speaking KP Assembly Asad Qaiser formally inaugurated the two-day Education Expo and thanked the Multi-National and International firms for putting their stalls with the aim to educate the potential youth. Minister Sports Mehmood Khan, Secretary Youth, Sports, Tourism Tariq Khan, Additional Secretary Babar Khan, DG Youth Asfandyar Khan Khattak, DG Sports Junaid, renown singer Muni Begum, famous artists Tauqeer Nasir, Mishi Khan, Uruj Khan, Abid Ali, Ijaz Multani were also present.
