Islamabad: PTI leader Babar Awan has offered unconditional apology to Supreme Court (SC) in contempt of court case while . Court has withdrawn contempt notice and discharged the case. A 3 member bench of Supreme Court (SC) presided over by Chief Justice Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar took up the case for hearing Tuesday.
At the inception of hearing, CJP inquired “Which notice is this”? Isn’t it that notice which was on reciting a poem outside the court? CJP recited “Notice milya, kakh na hilya” Babar Awan said I leave myself at the mercy of court.
CJP remarked “ You should not only leave yourself at the mercy of court but also extend unconditional apology” Babar Awan said that “I extend unconditional apology”. Court while addressing Babar Awan remarked “Be careful, this should not happen again” If this happens again, we will not leave you.
We have forgotten the previous incident, but will not forget next time, CJP added.
