ABBOTTABAD: Deputy Commissioner Haripur Amir Afaq Monday imposed ban on aerial firing, fireworks, pillion riding, one wheeling, sale of toy guns and movement of Afghan refugees on the eve of Chand Rat and EidulFitr under section 144.
In order to maintain the law and order and to ensure the security arrangements for the Chand Rat and EidulFitr prayers the district administration has imposed ban under section 144 and also issued directives for police. According to the notification, any person contravening this order shall render himself liable to punishment under section 188 PPrc.
Following the directives and public complaints, Cantonment Police Station has started a drive in Abbottabad city and confiscated a huge quantity of toy guns from different areas of the city including Jinnah road, EidGhah road, Main Bazar, Link road and surrounding areas. SHO Cant Police Station informed the shopkeeper that sale of toy guns is prohibited and a crime.
