CNS Abbasi asks naval commanders to maintain vigilance, high-level readiness

ISLAMABAD: The session of apex decision-making body of the Pakistan Navy, Command and Staff Conference, concluded at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad on Friday.

Chief of the Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi urged commanders to maintain a constant vigil and a high-level of readiness in their area of responsibility, Radio Pakistan reported.

Pakistan Navy is fully prepared and capable to deter and foil any misadventure with a befitting response, reaffirmed the Naval Chief.

He appreciated commands on the timely deployment of Pakistan Navy assets in the prevalent standoff with India. Admiral Abbasi said that the Pakistan Navy will continue to maintain a high-level of readiness.

Naval commanders were urged to remain prepared and maintain a constant vigil in their area of responsibility.

Admiral Abbasi also lauded all field commanders for the successful conduct of multi-national maritime exercise ‘AMAN-19’ which was participated by 46 countries with assets and observers. He said that AMAN-19 organisation was a clear testimony of the confidence of Pakistan by regional and extra-regional countries.

Earlier, the Command and Staff Conference of Pakistan Navy commenced at Naval Headquarters in Islamabad on March 28 (yesterday) under the chair of Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi.

The conference reviewed matters related to operational preparedness, prevailing security situation and developmental plans of Pakistan Navy.

Matters relating to the operational preparedness, security situation and development projects of Pakistan Navy were reviewed and detailed briefing was given to the Naval Chief regarding ongoing and future plans, the spokesperson said.

Mr Abbasi praised high morale and professionalism of Pakistan Navy officials amid escalation between Pakistan and India. The naval chief expressed satisfaction over its operational preparedness.
