PESHAWAR: Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Dr. Shahzad Bangash and Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Moazzam Jah Ansari Jointly presided over a video link conference at CPO Peshawar on Saturday.
Home Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Additional IGP Operations, all Regional and District Police Officers participated in the conference via video link.
In the conference the confronting challenges to the law and order were threadberely discussed and necessary instructions were issued to the participants.
Addressing the participants the Chief Secretary informed that KP Police under the dynamic leadership of IGP Moazzam Jah Ansari was performing its duty with professional zeal and spirit.
He further informed that KP police in the same time are fighting against crime, terrorism as well as providing security to the Chinese working on different projects and polio teams in the province in an effective manner.
The Chief Secretary informed the participates that security of the Chinese was of paramount importance. The Chief Secretary directed the participants of the conference to strictly adhere to the Standing Operating Procedure (SOP) of the Chinese and other foreigners and further improve their preparedness and meet any eventualities with iron hands.
The Chief Secretary held in high esteems the sacrifices rendered by the KP police in the war against terror.
He reminded that KP police had proved its mettle in the war against terror and hoped that they will again give crushing defeat to the state enemies.
The Chief Secretary assured that the provincial government will provide all possible assistance in the capacity building and equipping KP police that all required gadgets and equipment.
Addressing the police officers in the conference the IGP Moazzam Jah Ansari informed that fully fledged war had been started against the state and directed them to enhance their level of preparedness, send the Jawans to the duty points with all protection gears and check it through concerned SDPOs on daily basis and get report from them about the safety measures of the Jawans.
The IGP informed that police preparedness and alertness shall be far better than the anti-State elements in every respect and shall come victorious without any human loss. The IGP also directed the participants to ensure fool-proof security to the Chinese working on different projects in the province.
The IGP asserted that all available resources are being used to enhance the capabilities of the police so as to flush out unscrupulous elements.
The IGP revealed that the process of provision of thermal sights and cameras are going on with breakneck speed which will be completed very soon.
The IGP hoped that the valiant officers and Jawans of the police force will come out victorious in the ongoing war against terror and vowed that every sacrifices would be offered for eliminating terrorism and maintain durable peace in the province.
