ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has rejected the request of PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif for recounting of votes in National Assembly constituency of NA-15 Mansehra.
The ECP directed the concerned returning officer to prepared the complete result of NA-15 in three days and submit it to the Commission. The ECP further said that the complainant can move to election tribunal if he wants.
Earlier, the Election Commission of Pakistan’s Form 47 declared the victory of PTI-backed candidate Shahzada Gustasap Khan in general elections.
Mr Gustasap obtained 10,5249 votes and was declared winner while his rival candidate Nawaz Sharif obtained 80,382 votes and remained second.
Nawaz Sharif had challenged the victory of Mr Gustasap in an application filed at the Election Commission of Pakistan.
