PESHAWAR: The Frontier Corps North has organizes a special seminar in Fort Balahisar, Peshawar. The aim of the seminar was to highlight the discovery of minerals in the three tribal districts, its benefits, promotion of economic activities in the area and to provide a suitable platform for increasing cooperation between all stakeholders.
The seminar was attended by the senior officials of Mines & Minerals Department, Pakistan Mineral Development Corporation, National Center of Excellence Peshawar, Sarhad Chamber of Commerce, District Chamber of Commerce Security Forces, District Administration, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture & Tourism Authority, local elders and a large number of investors.
In the seminar, the participants highlighted the importance of mineral resources in the tribal districts of Bajaur, Mohmand & Khyber and said that through the right measures, the discovery of mineral resources will usher a new era of development and prosperity in these districts. Along with this, people will also get wide employment opportunities.
On this occasion, the speakers emphasized on the solution of the technical and local problems in the discovery of mineral resources in these three districts and suggested various steps so that the discovery of minerals can be continued keeping in view the requirements of the modern age.
The participants expressed that such forums should be continued in future as well so that mining and mineral exploration can be promoted in these districts with joint efforts of all stakeholders.
The participants thanked the senior officials of Frontier Corps North for organizing the successful seminar and said that industries in these areas will be promoted through various initiatives and these areas will play an important role in the economic development of Pakistan.
