PESHAWAR: Directorate of Culture KP has announced financial assistance package for artists associated with different trades of art and culture. An official of the culture directorate told media that proposed plan included giving monthly honoraria to the artist community to make them both ends meet.
All the deputy commissioners have been issued necessary instructions to sort out problems of artists in their respective jurisdictions. The artist’s community of Malakand, Dir Lower, Dir Upper and Chitral districts have been asked to submit their forms with assistant commissioners for necessary actions. After deliberations at administrative level the final list of the deserving artists would be compiled on basis of merit for the award.
