Govt spending Rs 9 bln on water schemes

PESHAWAR: Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was spending about Rs 9 billion on provision of clean drinking water schemes in southern districts of the province. A spokesman of Public Health Engineering Department told Radio Pakistan  that government has initiated work on more than 900 clean drinking water schemes in Kohat, Bannu, Karak, Laki Mart, Tank and DI Khan districts, out of which 445 water schemes have been completed.

Similarly, one hundred tube-wells converted into solar energy in southern parts to ensure un-interpreted supply of clean drinking water.
