Imran’s wife Bushra Bibi skips NAB date Al-Qadir case

F.P. Report

ISLAMABAD: Bushra Bibi, wife of former prime minister and PTI Chairman Imran Khan, has informed the National Accountability Bureau that she cannot appear before it in compliance with its call-up notice for today in £190 million corruption case.

Bushra Bibi submitted a written reply to the anti-graft watchdog on Monday. She stated that she could not come to Islamabad due to her appearance in the Lahore High Court today.

She said that in response to NAB’s first notice, she had told it that she did not possess any documents related to the case. She said the NAB had received the record of the case from the chief financial officer of the Al-Qadir Trust. She further said that the documents of Al-Qadir University and the Trust were with the board secretary Dr Amjad.

Bushra Bibi said that she observed purdah and could not travel from Lahore to Islamabad without her husband. She said she had already requested the watchdog to link her call-up notice date with the availability of her husband. She said she could not appear before NAB Rawalpindi without the company of a Mehram.

She requested the watchdog to change her date and fix July 4 as she could appear before the NAB along with her husband on this date.
