ISIS Khurasan will be defeated in Afghanistan: Gen. Nicholson

Monitoring Desk

KABUL: Commander of the NATO-led Resolute Support and US Forces in Afghanistan Gen. Nicholson has claimed that the ISIS Khurasan will be eliminated in Afghanistan.

According to details, a U.S. airstrike killed Qari Hikmatullah and his bodyguard in Faryab province, Afghanistan, on April 5, 2018. He was the senior ISIS-K commander into northern Afghanistan.

ISIS-K reportedly named Maulvi Habibul Rahman, another native Uzbekistani, as Hikmatullah’s successor. Rahman’s succession to a leadership role raises concerns across ISIS followers in remote, isolated areas of Jowzjan.

General Nicholson said that NATO forces will not allow anyone to disturb the peace in Afghanistan and we will kill the successor of Qari Hikmatullah and will follow him where ever he is hiding.
