Jinnah House attack case: Court denies physical remand of 8 PTI women

LAHORE: An anti-terrorism court in Lahore has rejected the request for physical remand of eight Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf women leaders detained in the Jinnah House attack case on May 9.

ATC Judge Abhar Gul Khan announced the decision on Friday.

Police sought physical remand of eight PTI women. But the judge rejected police’s request and sent the women on judicial remand.

Bail plea of 12 PTI activists rejected

Separately, an anti-terrorism court in Lahore dismissed the post-arrest bail applications of 12 PTI activists including Dr Yasmin Rashid in a case related to the arson attack on Shadman police station.

ATC Judge Ijaz Ahmad Buttar heard the bail pleas filed by 34 accused.

The judge dismissed post-arrest bail applications of 12 accused including Dr Yasmin, Arbaz, Tahir, Ghulam Abbas, Zahid, Ali Hamza and others. While the court accepted bail applications of 22 co-accused in the case.
