Minister Khairkhwa visits Bamyan historical sites

BAMYAN (Agencies): The country’s Minister of Information and Culture, Mullah Khairullah Khairkhwa, traveled to Bamyan province to visit historical sites and assess the tourism industry in that province.
According to a statement the Acting Minister of Information and Culture of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan met with the governor of the province and the head of Information and Culture in that province.
Khairkhwa visits Bamyan historical sites to look forward to better preservation of the monuments and to promote the tourism industry of Bamyan.
The Afghan Minister Khairkhwa met with the head of Information and Culture of Bamyan Mawlawi Saif ul-Rahman Mohammadi to discuss better preservation of the historical sites in that province, added to the statement.
Mohammadi provides details about the states of tourism and opportunities to promote a culture of tourism in that province.
Information shared about the increase of tourism income in that and delivering it to the treasury account of the government, further said a statement.
According to the statement, the construction of an antique Bazaar to promote handicrafts products in the country to meet the current challenges of the handicrafts industry were discussed and it was decided a professional committee of the relevant organs is formed to initiate the project.
In the end, the Acting Minister of Information and Culture instructing some necessary direction vowed that their problems would be addressed.
