Pakistan assured US to serve justice through legal means in Daniel case: FO

ISLAMABAD: India’s record of its continuous practice of non-abiding the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions on Kashmir and its gross human rights abuses in IIOJK warrants that it should be no representation at UNSC rather than permanent or non-permanent seat for it at the UN body. It was underscored by the Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry during weekly news briefing in Islamabad today. Chaudhry noted that broadly speaking, three Indian’s credentials do not correspond with the Indian bid for permanent seat at UNSC. First, its repeated dis-honor of UNSC resolutions on Kashmir, continuous human and minorities rights violations in the country particularly in IIOJK and its sponsorship of terrorism in the neighboring countries such as Pakistan and other.

While answering a query on allegations by Afghan officials regarding alleged shelling from Pakistan side, Spokesperson articulated that both Countries Pakistan and Afghanistan have multi-lateral coordination mechanism to raise any such complaint rather than sorting to blame game through media.

While digging into details on Shah Mahmood Qureshi tele conversation with Secretary Blinken with respect to Daniel Pearl case, he said that Foreign Minister assured the Secretary Blinken to serve the justice through legal means in the case. According to him, Federal government has joined the Sindh government in its petition in Daniel Peral case in Supreme Court alongside it filed a new petition in the Supreme Court against acquittal of the accused, Umar Saeed Shaikh.

While shedding light in response to media query on the recent statement of COAS, General Qamar Javed Bajwa regarding peace full co-existence and dialogue to resolve the long-standing issue of Kashmir. Chaudhry noted that Pakistan never refused to dialogue on all out-standing issues through peace full means, however, India must create suitable environment for dialogue to take place. He said these measures may include normalization of situation in IIOJK and improvement in Human rights violations etc. He said if we observe the tune of military leadership of both countries, one can easily understands the difference between the two side. COAS statement displayed Pakistan’s commitment to peace, whereas the recent statement of Indian military leadership only had anti-Pakistan rhetoric and war hysteria. He categorically denied any backdoor diplomacy between Pakistan and India.

While responding to recent accusation by some section of Indian media about Pakistan support to ongoing farmer protests in India. Zahid Hafeez Choudhry observed that it is the reaction to RSS-BJP regime anti-minorities police. The international human rights organizations and civil society had urged Indian government to act responsibly to resolve the issue however, BJP government sorted to further oppression of the depressed segments of Indian society.

While answering a question regarding Indian Intelligence involvement in Gilgit Baltistan, Chaudhry said that Indian Intelligence agency RAW has been involved in GB area through its agents, aimed at creating unrest by exploiting differences on ethnic and religious grounds. Recently, a GB sub-nationalist Mehdi Shah Rizvi, who previously worked for Indian proxies had exposed the whole network of Indi-an agents working under disguise of human rights activists and political acti-vist, while sitting abroad.

Chaudhry informed the media that a petition has been file in the Supreme Court against the killing of 11 Pakistanis Hindus in Jodh Pur India in mysterious conditions.
