ISLAMABAD: Pakistan registered another 98 deaths and 3,316 infections by coronavirus during the last 24 hours (Monday), showed the statistics released by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Tuesday morning.
As per the NCOC figures, after the addition of 98 new deaths, the overall toll has now surged to 26,330 whereas the number of total infections now stood at 1,186,234 after adding the fresh 3,316 cases.
During the last 24 hours (Monday), a total of 52,314 tests were conducted throughout Pakistan whereas the positivity ratio stood at 6.33 percent.
During the last 24 hours (Monday), as many as 3,270 patients have recovered from the virus whereas the total recoveries stood at 1,067,589. As of Tuesday, the total count of active cases in the country was recorded at 92,315.
As many as 439,119 coronavirus cases have so far been confirmed in Sindh, 405,005 in Punjab, 165,512 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 101,249 in Islamabad, 32,411 in Balochistan, 32,873 in Azad Kashmir and 10,065 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Moreover, 12,096 individuals have lost their lives to the pandemic in Punjab so far, 6,995 in Sindh, 5,130 in KP, 877 in Islamabad, 712 in Azad Kashmir, 342 in Balochistan and 178 in Gilgit Baltistan.

Based on latest reports, the countries with the most new deaths were Russia with 790, followed by Iran with 610 and the US with 394.
