Pakistan Veterans Cricket Team announces for Global Cricket Cup

KARACHI: Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association has announced the Pakistan Veterans Cricket Team for the Global Cup.

The Pakistan Veterans Cricket Association said the 18-member squad of the Pakistan Veterans team included Shahid Afridi, Abdul Razzaq, Misbah-ul-Haq, Muhammad Sami, Hasan Raza, Tariq Haroon and Khurram Ali Khan.

Apart from this, Waqas Ahmed, Abdul Qadir, Muhammad Rizwan Aslam, Kashif Siddique, Muhammad Ilyas, Afzal Shah, Amjad Ali, Imran Ali, Tasawar Abbas, Adnan Rais, Janidakhil and Naini Talwala are also part of the team.

Pakistan has unleashed a star-studded squad for the Inaugural MCW Over 40s Cricket Global Cup composing of renowned Ex-International players like Shahid Afridi, Misbah-ul-Haq, Abdul Razzaq & Muhammad Sami.

The reserve players of Pakistan Veterans include Yasir Hameed, Haris Ayaz and Shahzad Malik. The captain and vice-captain of the team will be announced on Sept 16.

In the Global Cup, a total of 36 matches will be played at 5 different grounds in Karachi and the Pakistan team will play all its matches at the National Bank Stadium. Players above 40 years of age will participate in this tournament.

The tournament will start from Sept 18 and Pakistan will play its first match against America on Sept 19. The final of the event will be played on Oct 2.
