Patient continue to suffer as YDA’s strike continues in Punjab

LAHORE: Medics associated with Young Doctors Association (YDA) has continued to boycott the OPDs in teaching hospitals across Punjab against the proposed Medical Teaching Institutions Act, on Saturday.

As per details, YDA has boycotted the OPDs in teaching hospitals of the province including Meo Hospital and Services Hospital.

According to reports reaching here, YDA has boycotted the OPDs of all the teaching hospitals in Lahore, Faisalabad, Multan and other cities. Young Doctors Association in a statement said that MTI act is a black law and will create uncertainty among the working doctors. The protesting doctors also said that it is a step towards privatization of the government health facilities and we reject this black law.

On the other hand, the patients are suffering because of YDA’s strike.
