KARACHI: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) Wednesday announced that it will conduct an inquiry into the financial affairs of its former officials from 2008 to 2022.

The new president of the PHF, Tariq Hussain Bugti, said that he will expose the financial fraudsters who have damaged the national game.

He said the former secretaries and presidents of the PHF, including Asif Bajwa, Shehbaz Senior, Rana Mujahid, Qasim Zia, Akhtar Rasool and Brigadier (retd) Khalid Sajjad Khokhar, will be investigated for their role in opening private bank accounts and misusing funds.

He also said that he has requested the Ministry of Interior to put their names on the Exit Control List (ECL) until the inquiry is completed.

He added that those who are cleared in the investigation will be removed from the ECL. The PHF president said that he is determined to take strict action against those who have harmed the interests of hockey in Pakistan.
