PM Kakar appoints Fahd Haroon as SAPM

ISLAMABAD: In a reaffirmation of trust, Fahd Haroon has been appointed Minister of State/Special Assistant to the Prime Minister (SAPM) by caretaker Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq Kakar.

Fahd Haroon’s current portfolio given is Digital Media. As one of Pakistan’s most senior and well respected media personalities, Fahd brings a wealth of experience and a relentless drive for innovation to his new role.

Previously, Fahd served as the Special Assistant to the PM/Minister of State on Public Communication and Digital Platforms in the Shahbaz Sharif-led PDM government.
He also held the position of Focal Person to the Prime Minister on Information Analytics and Special Assistant to CM Sindh for Media Affairs.

Fahd has held leadership positions in international and local media houses, including Chairman of the Press and Electronic Media committee of FPCCI and membership in the Pakistan Broadcasters Association.

Fahd serves on the advisory committees of several prominent educational institutions, and his leadership has been recognized by numerous industry awards including the prestigious Sitar i Imtiaz.

He is the son of late Fariha Razak and grandson of late Nishat Afza, both prominent media personalities and former parliamentarians of Pakistan.
