PTI workers protest against Omar Ayub in Faisalabad

F.P. Report

FAISALABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers staged a big protest in front of their party-backed opposition leader in the National Assembly Omar Ayub Khan after his appearance in a court of Faisalabad on Thursday.

According to reports, the PTI protesters blocked Omar Ayub’s car and prevented him from boarding. They voiced their grievances before the Opposition Leader.

The protesting workers of the PTI said they had made sacrifices for the party’s cause, but their sacrifices had been overlooked.

They mentioned the sacrifices made by their children and parents during the May 9 incident but the party neglected them and blessed others.

In response, Omar Ayub told the protesters not to stage such protests [here in public] and assured them that their concerns would be addressed.

Omar Ayub also made an exclusive conversation with the City41 TV channel after his appearance in the court and said they had complied with the court’s summons.

When asked about the absence of local PTI leadership during the court proceedings in Faisalabad, Opposition Leader Omar Ayub claimed that no elected MNA or MPA of the party had been informed about their court appearance.

Meanwhile, PTI’s another leader and former minister Babar Awan said that false and baseless cases had been filed against them but assured that they would participate in all investigations related to the cases.

Babar Awan also said that it’s worth noting that leaders are being kept separate from the workers by filing false and baseless cases against them.
