Shahbaz refused to become PM on my advice: Rana Sanaullah

F.P. Report

LAHORE: Provincial Law Minister, Rana Sanaullah has claimed that CM Punjab Shehbaz Sharif refused to become prime minister after the disqualification of Nawaz Sharif in Panama case because of his advice.

This he said while giving interview to private news channel. Rana said that I met with CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and in the presence of Hamza and Salman Shahbaz I advised him that if he left the CM seat in the midst of tenure it will disturb all the good work which we continued for the past few years. I advised him that the government is already facing chaos in the center and if CM Shahbaz was replaced by another person that would be not beneficial for the party in Punjab, he added.

Both Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz agreed to his advice and later he asked Nawaz Sharif to reconsider his decision regarding appointing a new prime minister after his disqualification.
