PESHAWAR: Provincial Minister for Information Shaukat Ali Yousafzai has said that provincial government will make all efforts to protect and help resolve all genuine problems confronted to the Journalist community.
Terming the expulsion of journalists from various media organizations as unjust, the Minister said that government was also sincere to address the problems of media owners.
This he said while responding to a resolution in the Provincial Assembly regarding sacking of media men here on Tuesday. The Minister added that media and media men were an important pillar of democracy and pledged that government will take all possible steps to ensure that rights of media men are protected.
Meanwhile the Minister had in urgent meeting with Secretary Information, DG Information and President Peshawar Press Club to find a way out to the issue of sacked Journalists.
The Meeting thoroughly discussed the strategy to either restore or to help accommodate the jobless Journalists in other media organizations.
