Siraj slats PM’s statement that to rule was very easy

F.P. Report

LAHORE (INP): Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has slated Prime Minister Imran Khan’s statement that to rule was very easy, and said that perhaps Prime Minister had no heart in his bosom. He was talking to the media after visiting the house of a ten year old girl Frishta Mehmand of Shahzad Town, Islamabad who had been abducted, raped and murdered in the federal capital area.

The JI chief demanded of the government to trace the culprits involved in the heinous incident within the minimum time and hand them deterrent punishment so that no one else could indulge in such crime again. Sirajul Haq said that such a horrific incident had taken place not in the far off area of Waziristan but had occurred at a small distance from the President House and the Prime Minister House, and even the IG House.

He said that incident was such that the Prime Minister should himself have visited the house of the unfortunate girl,  consoled the family and assured of thorough probe into the incident and swift action against the offenders. He said that instead of taking side with the aggrieved father, he was being pressurized to remain silent. The JI chief said to rule was not to enjoy the protocol. He said that in an Islamic society, governance was a big test and trial. He also quoted the wording of Caliph Umar bin Abdul Aziz in this regard.

He wondered what kind of image of the country would be created in the outside world because of such incidents.

The JI chief said there was much talk of Police reforms but practically there was no change. It was a pity that a small girl was not safe in the society even during the month of Ramazan, he lamented.

He said that the rulers should have considered Frishta Mehmand as their own daughter and acted promptly.

The JI chief said the local people were complaining against the area SHO,  However, he said the SHO did not matter and the attitude of the President and the  Prime Minister should have been different and the Punjab Governor and the Chief Minister should have visited the house of the aggrieved family and the MNA ad the MPA of the area should have set up camps at this spot and remained  there till the culprits were hauled up.

Sirajul Haq said that some people had tried to give an ethnic colour to the incident However, he said, that whatever the parentage of the girl, she was a girl of the nation and the life, and honour of  even the minorities  women folk should also be secure in this country.
