LAHORE: During the ongoing crackdown against gas pilferers, SNGPL continued raids in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad, disconnecting another 119 connections; Rs 4 million fine imposed In Lahore, the regional team disconnected 5 connections on illegal use of gas.
The team also imposed fine of Rs 0.18 against gas pilferes. In Multan 7 connections were disconnected on illegal use while another two disconnected on use of compressor.
In Peshawar and Karak,the company disconnected 97 connections on account of direct use of gas and illegal use of gas and amount of Rs 3.6 million have been booked against gas theft cases.
The team also lodged 1 FIR against gas theives. The regional team of Rawalpindi disconnected one connection on illegal use of gas while imposing fine of Rs 0.1 million against gas theft cases.In Sahiwal one connection was disconnected on illegal use of gas.
In Faisalabad the team disconnected 1 connection on illegal use of gas while imposing fine of Rs 0.02 against gas pilfers. The regional team of Mardan disconnected 5 connections on illegal use of gas and also imposed fine of Rs 0.1 million against gas theft cases.
